THE ABCOV® BENEFITS: COST SAVINGS
Provides Cost Savings:
- Provides savings to the owner by eliminating asbestos liability, and landfill disposal.
- Addresses all hazardous and mixed waste asbestos inventories, regardless of the matrix of the ACM. Giving the owner 30% – 50% savings on disposal costs.
- Reduces abatement labor by ~25% when using ABCOV-T during the removal of certain types of ACM (boiler block, pipe lagging and spray-on fireproofing).
- Returns abated area to the owner 20% sooner when using ABCOV® -T to remove boiler block, pipe lagging and spray-on fireproofing.
- Customers with consistent ACM waste compositions can be provided with ABCOV® formulations that minimize destruction cost and maximize ACM throughput.
Training and Training Costs:
To use the ABCOV® Method safely and effectively all personnel, abatement, and conversion operators, who use the ABCOV® chemicals and equipment must fully understand the process operations, the parameters, and all the safety procedures:
1. All personnel must be accredited asbestos handlers and supervisors.
2. Certification training in the ABCOV® Method is required.
3. ABCOV® trains the microscopist in the ABCOV® process but does not train the microscopist to read the Polarized Light Microscope, Polarized Light Microscope reading requires special training.
Training Costs: $ 7,000.00 per person (3 days in-class, three weeks ABCOV® in-plant training (Please Note: ABCOV® does not train the microscopist to read the PLM microscope. Microscope reading requires special training)
